Our Mission
Nurturing Every Child's Potential
Hampstead Junior School is an English Medium Private Pre-Primary and Primary School, fully recognised by the Ministry of Education in Mauritius. We serve approximately 700 pupils aged 3 to 12 across our two schools.
Our mission is to provide a nurturing, stimulating environment where children develop academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe that every child has unique talents and our role is to help them discover and develop those gifts.
Upon completing their primary education at Hampstead, students sit for the Primary School Achievement Certificate (PSAC) examination, entering secondary education with a strong foundation.
Our Approach
A Proven Teaching Philosophy
Our curriculum is a thoughtful blend of the Ministry of Education's standards and Hampstead's own proprietary curriculum, designed to give students an enriched learning experience that goes beyond the standard programme.
We place special emphasis on phonetic instruction for both English and French languages. This approach has proven highly effective in building strong literacy skills from the very first year, giving our students a lasting advantage.
